2. problem description
Luna, as the most influential brand in the high-end women’ shoes market, a series of new woman’s shoes are introduced every season to inject the fresh blood into the brand.
But the Luna designer had the difficult problems when he was designing the new season’s short boots. A zipper on the side of the short boots, the zipper need to be bent to show the curve of shoes. But after repeated to try to bend the straight zipper by manpower. It is found that the uneven interval and surface between the zipper teeth appeared. Due to the above two defects, They may lead to the risk that the zipper break up during wearing the shoes.
So the Luna manufacturer meet the R&D team of the DAQ zipper. They come up with their troubles in the detail process. They hope we can solve this problem.
3.Solutions
The R&D team of the DAQ zipper is aimed at the case of the Luna, they has carried on the thorough analysis and research.
We have made different types of straight zipper for artificial bending, hoping to find a suitable zipper. But after we compared the experiment for many times, the uneven interval and surface between the zipper teeth were still the problem. This not only exist the problem in aesthetic but seriously reduce the smoothness and safety of the zipper, and has the risk of explosion.
So we changed our plan, we decided to start with the mold and the method of arranging the teeth. After the debugging and model test for many times, finally, a radian zipper was designed to solve the above problems. Through the repeated test and experiment by the Luna team, this radian zipper was applied to the new season shoes.
Straight zipper bends on the left, we can see that the distribution of the zipper teeth is unevenly distributed after local amplification. Radian zipper on the right, we can see that the zipper teeth is smooth and uniform distribution after local amplification. The radian zipper is applied to the vamp, the chain teeth are orderly and naturally smooth.
4.The advantages of radian zippers
1)In the condition of radian zipper, the zipper interval is uniform, neat and smooth, and high smoothness when pulling the it.
2)Automatically increase the radian of the zipper: customers can according to different situation of shoes design, around the left and right, cut open a slit of a certain length uniformly to increasing the bending degree of zippers ( the safe distance of the gap to teeth is no more than 4MM ).
3)Strong safety performance(zipper combined force 80-90KG, far higher than zipper industry standard 28-65KG).
4)We have developed three different radian zippers at the moment for customer to choose.
